Questions we hear most.
For under $800K/year in revenue, Basic is almost always correct. Advanced becomes worth it around $800K-$2M/year (lower transaction fees pay for the plan). Plus is for enterprise features (wholesale, launchpad, scripts) — usually relevant above $2M/year. We'll tell you where you actually are.
Yes. Takeovers are a meaningful slice of our work. First step is a paid audit (credited toward remediation) to scope exactly what's broken.
Both. Liquid for 90% of clients — it's fast, cheap to maintain, and plays nice with the Shopify ecosystem. Hydrogen/Remix React when you have strong content needs + a dev team to maintain it.
Optional managed care retainer — hosting handled by Shopify, we cover theme updates, backups, security patches, and 1 hour of edits/month. Or we build it and you maintain.
We default to apps for 90% of needs because upgrades stay safe. We write custom Liquid or Functions when apps are overkill (bloat), too expensive at scale, or when the behavior you want doesn't exist in the app ecosystem.
